A native of California, Kal relocated in 2000 to Italy, where in a 15-year span he built up an impressive portfolio working with  internationally renowned brands that include Gucci, Armani and Bulgari. He has lensed celebrities including: Dilreba Dilmurat 迪丽热巴, Zhao LiYing 赵丽颖, Li Yifeng 李易峰，Janice Man 文咏珊, James Franco, Shakira, Chompoo Araya and Baifern.

With experience in post-production at ILM (Star Wars – The Phantom Menace, Magnolia, Saving Private Ryan), Karman has a sharp eye for detail and a strong command of special effects. Past duties include work as a script supervisor, writer, editor, assistant cinematographer and actor. Kal is currently based in Southeast Asia.
